Build a photograher's portfolio and social network
Job Description Reposting as set budget... I'm designing a concept for a photo sharing website that is similar to 500px.com with the addition of some social features and with the addition of the Gamify.it API to add rewards and badges and similar incentives for participation along with a credits system similar to Quora. The goal is to create an environment where photography enthusiasts can share their work and get feedback and support in a way that social networks and photo sharing sites don't currently provide. It's difficult for me to go into specific detail without compromising the idea but here is a summary of features: - Users create portfolios and albums of images - Portfolios / albums are not Flash based - Method for user to graphically organize portfolios and albums - Mini websites with subdomains can be created based on albums - Private Image and album collaboration Social: - Profiles: Profile page is front page of user's account and can include an embedded video. - Users can create groups surrounding a topic similar to a forum (similar to Flickr). Group admins decide what can be done in the group based on the topic. or - Users can start a collaborative project with other users. - There is a points system attached to every social interaction - The points system dictates restrictions. For example, a user leaves comments on another user's photo but that photo's user can't see that comment unless they have enough points with the user who left the comment. They get points with the person by leaving comments, feedback or encouragement. - Users can select what they are looking for - encouragement, critique, comments, or any combination of these on any asset - portfolio, album, or individual image. - Users can re-delegate or "gift" their own points to other users whom they think could use more attention - There is a system that creates more visibility of portfolios on main site based on two sets of criteria: How active a user is in commenting on other people's work and how actively their own work is commented on. Keywords: Other - Web Development, ajax, php, html5, xml, soap, css, mysql
