Under general supervision, the Claims Adjuster in San Diego will have the following duties: Investigates and settles multiple lines of insurance claims of a moderate to severe nature Examines claim forms and other records to determine insurance coverage Utilizes various methods of investigation and negotiates settlement with claimants in accordance with prescribed authority May provide direction to lower level claims adjusters Assume a pending of existing commercial property claims and handle claims to conclusion; generally claims are of a severity of up to $100,000 exposure We are looking for individuals who are familiar with commercial property claim coverage, including IM and Crime forms. This person needs strong analytical skills in coverage evaluation and reviewing estimates of damage for confirmation of appropriate claim exposure. This role typically requires a college degree and two to four years of experience in claims adjusting. Candidates must be licensed in California.
