Job Description We have some SNP data regarding humans and other organisms, requiring analysis. The initial analysis will be simple, requiring statistical identification of which SNPs are significantly differentiated between two populations of individuals. Follow-up work will involve applying proprietary (command line) Java and Python scripts to perform more sophisticated analysis of the same data. No new algorithm development is needed, but the follow-up tasks do require the ability to understand and utilize Java and python code written by others. This work would suit a bioinformaticist with some programming / computer science knowledge, or else a computer scientist with some bioinformatics knowledge. Full or part time is possible depending on your rates, but part time must be > 10 hours/ week.
