Objective -- When booking online travel the agency is a conduit between the client and the operator. After a booking and payment is made to an operator, electronic documents (e-docs) generally consisting of flight and hotel booking tickets/vouchers are made available to the agent to forward to the client. As the volume of bookings increases the manual process of locating and forwarding these documents to clients impedes productivity. Goals -- Design a system that retrieves e-docs sent or made available through a website by select travel operators and forwards them to the associated client. The system would periodically check the inbox of the designated email address for specific attached e-docs or links to an agent website to download the e-docs. The system would then match the e-docs to customer purchase records on file and send the documents to the related customer address along with a customized email template explaining the attachment and mark the e-docs as sent within the customer record.
