AV System Designer - AutoCAD
Together with our strategic partners we design, supply and install various commercial technology systems including: ? Distributed Audio/Video (mainly video) ? Lighting Control ? Systems Integration ? Local Digital Advertising Networks and Networked CCTV The AV System Designer will work with the customer and Sales team to fulfill customer requirements from Pre-Sales Design, Post-Sales Design and documentation. The AV System Designer will also interact with the sales team to turn customers requirements into system specifications while determining a cost-effective Audio Visual Solution. Job Description: The AV System Designer should be a skilled, customer-oriented designer who will be responsible for developing advanced professional audio/video systems for national customers. The position has an emphasis on CAD system documentation and a focus on meeting tight production schedules. AV System Designer will be responsible for: -Collaborating with Sales and Project Managers on design solutions for customers -Interfacing directly with customers, architects, electrical engineers and sound contractors -Managing or performing site surveys of new accounts -Documenting systems via CAD; speaker layout, schematics, rack risers, one-line diagrams, etc. -Effectively present technical material to a non-technical audience. -Creating installation and user manuals -Preparing documentation/equipment/cables/accessories for our installation team Required Knowledge and Experience: -Experience Designing complex Audio Visual Systems - Experience with Auto CAD or other popular CAD package - Experience with Extron, Crestron, Biamp and/or other commercial AV Manufacturers. -Professional knowledge and experience designing schematics for: Projection Screens, Speciality TVs and video monitors (ie. thin bezel, Dynascan systems, Realfiction system, etc), Display Mounts, Ceiling Speakers, Wired Microphones, Equipment Racks, and other Architectural Design Plans. -Installation experience using hand tools and test equipment of the IT / AV trades. -High knowledge of IP Networks, AV Interface Configuration, DSP Programming, and Crestron Compiling.
