This project is about building an iPhone application (server side is already set up) about sharing videos. The application has 4 tabs (non customized "UITabBar" which have following role : 1) "Hot" : displays the videos per venues (places). All information is given by a webservice Some filter (today, recent) exists but data filtering is done by the webservice 2) "Report" : Section of the app for recording a video (or taking it from Camera roll) After video is shot (or choosen from gallery) , user input metadata + information about the location (via Foursquare Venue API). The video shot can be previewed and must be resized before upload to server 3) "Leaders" : Screen displaying the the top users data 4) "Account" : All the settings of the account + information and link for rating the app The app has also : - A tutorial at first launch - User creation is done via Facebook Connect (a sample project can be given for the Facebook integration we want. The Facebook integration is similar to "Diamond Dash" free app : no user credential required, Facebook connection is done via installed Facebook application) - Apps is using geolocation (lat and long are given in parameter to some of the webservice) - Support push notification. The app is simply opened ideally (not mandatory) to display the video mentioned by the push Technical points : - We are targeting iOS from 4.0 and will focus tests on iPhone4G and 4GS. Still the app must work with 3GS device. - Webservices are normal HTTP Rest API (exact spec will be given to the selected coder). We are opened to adjust the webservice API according to the needs of the iPhone client - Sharing information to twitter, email, SMS, facebook, etc... - App must support both english and french (french translation to be provided by me) Organizational points : - We will provide all designs and icons for the app - It's major that we have a good working demo (two first tab working fine and Facebook account creation) by 27th of February. Finalisation of the project can be done without time pressure but ideally within two weeks. - In order to have a good interaction, I think that it can be good to deliver every two days - We will provide Skype support for the webservices integration (Skype communication can be good for all other questions too). If coder has experience in apps using video capture, do not hesitate to share.
