Job Description Over the next year, I'm releasing a series of interviews, ranging from 20-90 minutes each, and I'll need all of them transcribed in Microsoft Word. Applicants must have: * A strong history here on odesk, at least 100 hours and a 4.5 feedback rating * Mastery of the English language. It's fine with me if you're from outside the US or Canada, but you must be able to understand it and write it perfectly. * Excellent grammar and spelling. I have a bachelors degree in English Literature, so I'll be watching closely. :-) * A reliable work ethic. I'll expect you to return the finished transcriptions to me within seven days. * A commitment to doing this long-term. If you're just looking for some quick work, and then you plan on leaving odesk, please don't apply. I'm looking for a contractor who is going to be here for at least six months. * Samples. After a week or so, I'll pick a few people and ask for samples of your work. If you don't have samples, or you can't provide them for some reason, please don't apply. * Excellent editing, proofreading, and formatting skills. I'll want the transcription to be nearly flawless. If you do good work, I'll have lots for you to do. Already, I have 50 interviews scheduled this year, and I'm sure there will be more.
