Cost Analyst (Goverment)
This position will... Analyze materials costs in support of bid and proposal activity and ongoing price variance analysis Review, analyze and price the Bill of Materials (BOM), coordinating with Engineering, Program Management, Sales, Procurement, Finance and other departments to define material requirements, including compliance requirements and strategies for procurement. Defend pricing justifications in audits from customers, DCAA, or others. Develop materials cost proposals and review and resolve discrepancies with proposal and pricing requirements. Provide analysis and support for evaluation of actual purchase performance against material budget. Solicit, receive and analyze supplier quotes to ensure reasonable price and compliance to Company design specifications. Identify items that will be subcontract items and identify risk associated with delivery or technical issues or high-risk suppliers Participate in program meetings such as the Kick Off meeting and periodic program reviews. Qualified candidates will possess the following requirements: Five (5) years of experience in materials, procurement or manufacturing, preferably with experience in high-mix electronics and/or Defense industry; Effective English communication skills, both verbal and written Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) preferred Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills; Exceptional attention to detail and ability to recognize erroneous data or information and make well-reasoned judgment calls. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality; One of the following certifications desirable: Certified Production Inventory Control Manager (CPICM); or Certified Integrated Resource Manager (CIRM); or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management or related field Strong computer experience, in particular exceptional Excel skills and good knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, SAP strongly desirable; QuickQuote experience a plusManpower is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE/AA)
