Oracle Applications DBA - Portfolio Accounting Management System
The candidate will facilitate and assist applications team in the development of new projects and the support of existing systems. Projects and support focus on designing, architecting/re-architecting, automating and supporting existing systems in support Operations functions. Reports To: Manager of Investment Operations Technology Position Responsibilities: * Design and Implementation of databases (Data Modeling) * Maintenance of existing databases. * Creation of database objects (tables, indexes etc) * Development of database procedures, functions and triggers * Assist developers with database related activities * Tune/Optimize database queries for enhancements * Provide consultation to development team * Plan growth and change (capacity planning) * Provide consultation to development team Experience: Required Skills * Financial business experience & understanding with emphasis on portfolio accounting * 7 – 10 years experience in a DBA role that includes implementation of n-tier web applications * Strong experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 and Oracle 10g/11g * MS SQL Server/T-SQL experience * Oracle/PL-SQL experience * Unix Shell scripting Other Qualifications: * Outstanding communication skills, especially with non-technical users * Strong client focus * Team player * Self starter, *Can Do* attitude * Fast learner * Strong organizational skills * Sun/Oracle Certified a plus Education: * Minimum Bachelor's Degree. Masters in a technology related field a plus.
