Job Description We're a publishing firm from Belgium, specialized in Educational products. Occasionally we produce cd's with pop songs for children. We want to build a database of musicians we can cooperate with. I'm looking for people who have a home studio (a noise free recording space) with decent gear (good instruments, mics +pre-amp). Editing and mixing is done by us. I want to build a virtual team of instrumentalists and singers who can come up with great parts to complete songs. You'll get a demo song and you have to replay a programmed part or you will be asked to come up with a great accompaniment/part for the song. Sometimes you will be free to play what you think is appropriate, sometimes the job will be well defined. I'm looking for people with a quick turnaround. Usually for a great musician it only takes a few minutes to listen to a song, turn on your instrument and computer and record the part in one or two takes. Remember, these are easy pop songs for kids. I will certainly need one amazing piano player and keyboard player, a bass player, a guitarist, a percussionist, a drummer, a cello and a violin player (maybe an amateur string quartet), brass players. You should have a permanent good sounding recording set-up that you can access quickly for a fast turnaround. If you're a keyboard player, it's also great if you can deliver the tracks both in midi and in wav. If you're an amazing music programmer with great sound libraries and your work is indistinguishable from real instruments, you're welcome too. Needless to say, we require musicians with skill and experience. If you want to apply, send me 1 (one) demo of your instrument or a song you did and a description of your experience, recording gear+ instrument. The demo should be a mp3 and should contain your name in the file name. If you can do different instruments, please demonstrate. Please do not send me heaps of songs. My time is limited. We work with a fixed price per project. Usually these jobs are less than one hour work. Job rates will be between 20 and 25 dollar. Note 1 I already got a lot of applicants. Please give me some time to work through it. I will contact you when I got a job that fits your profile. So if I don't contact you immediately, that doesn't mean we could work together some time in the future. Note 2 I have no need for sound engineers and producers. Unless you can play an instrument really well or if you can program amazing drums or string scores. I'm mostly looking for excellent musicians. It helps if you're classically trained.
