2 week contract position Our client is looking for a Messaging Engineer with experience performing GroupWise to Exchange 2010 migration using Quest GroupWise to Exchange migration tools. This requirement is for migration only. There is no architecture, design, scripting, coexistence between systems, or prolonged support. There will be up to three migration workstations for the Quest Migration tool. The number of mailboxes to be migrated will not exceed 770 mailboxes. The areas within scope include: Assessment of the customer’s current messaging environment. This includes ensuring the existing GroupWise environment has all necessary patches, updates, etc., in order to work properly with the Quest Migration Tool Mitigating any issues is OUTSIDE the scope of this project. Any issues that will prevent successful migration with the Quest tool must be escalated to the Project Manager, however we will not “fix” any issues, only report them Preparation and build of up to three migration workstations Pilot (test) migrations Validation of migrated users Migration of remaining 770 mailboxes Next day support to validate migrations, not to exceed 2 days Requirements Requirements: Must have experience with GroupWise to Exchange 2010 Migrations using Quest migration tools (at least two previous migrations) VERIFIABLE experience with this specific scenario – GroupWise to Exchange using Quest migration tools Excellent communication skills Ability to document progress in weekly status report, and communicate
