Currently we are seeking individuals for the following position: <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Digital Innovative Product Engineer Digital Innovative Product Engineer Job Responsibilities · Responsible for the development, design, and delivery of digital data along with verification and release for vehicle systems. · Qualified candidates will work with CAD Design, Engineering Requirements validation, PLM (CAD/CAE/PIM) technology development, and methods activities. · Designs in CATIA, use Teamcenter Engineering to manage data and other applications to visualize, verify requirements, and release parts to Global customer engineering organizations. · Use CATIA and TeamCenter to develop functionally compliant, manufacturing feasible and engineering requirements-based compatible geometry. · Demonstrate competence in geometric development, assembly design, and Product Data Management operation. · Use applications AVBoM/WERS and CAD Alignment Report to ensure BoM to IPS alignment. · Design and/or use non-BoM geometry (i.e. tire/driveline envelopes, clearance zones, glass drop, door swings, as-installed flexible components, etc.) as geometric inputs to your design. · Evaluate and maintain DPA per GPDS milestone / gateways (V1/V2/M1DJ/FDJ: 100% Assessed). · Communicate and drive resolution of feasibility and compatibility issues as per CAD Completion schedule. · Provide surface feasibility status in Requirement Management System - E2KS Meet CAD progression levels for 3D and 2D files to support multiple Product Development Systems Milestones · Communicate CAD timing via WACTS table. Digital Innovative Product Engineer Skills Required to be considered: · Strong Engineering degreed background · 3.0 or better GPA · Related Automotive coursework/experience · CAD application hands-on knowledge · Automotive projects, experience, design and engineering background · 0-3 years of CAD/CAM, Design, Engineering, Product Life Cycle Management(PLM) systems · Strong engineering courses and projects · Experience with Applications: C3PNG solutions, CATIA, Teamcenter, WERS, Digital Buck, WACTS, AVBOM, DFMA, eFDVA etc. · Must have excellent communication skills Demonstrated ability for delivering complex assignments, on multiple programs Adept at accomplishing tasks with great teamwork attitude · 1-3 years of Work experience in related area Product/production launch, Sheet metal, body structures, stamping and body construction and body plastics Digital Innovative Product Engineer Minimum Education Required: · BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive or Aerospace Engineering · Training and certifications in PLM (CAD/PIM) applications, Automotive Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening.
