**QA Test Lead** This is a fantastic opportunity to drive and deliver Quality Assurance strategies and processes into a FTSE 100 company. Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, the successful QA Leads will align with a particular portfolio to ensure that quality is considered throughout each project life cycle. The QA Lead will be expected to help devise and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement throughout the project development life cycle and to assume direct responsibility for the testing function. The team is globally distributed and this role requires working and influencing across global business lines and with key technology partners to deliver high quality products and client solutions. * Reporting into the Head of Quality Assurance, the person filling this role will be part of a team striving to improve quality assurance processes across the full project life cycle. * The Head of Quality Assurance is a membership of the leadership team within Global Product Development, so the function is well represented at a senior level. * Be aligned with a particular portfolio of projects (typically organised around business area) in order to drive quality into the deliveries for this portfolio. * Work closely with teams across our Global Product Development function to ensure that software releases are made at the required quality level. * Be able to bring their QA knowledge to bear to provide effective review of deliverables produced across the project team, and especially by the software testing function. * Comprehensive knowledge of test planning and preparation, execution, and closure phases is expected. * Take direct responsibility for the software testing phase of each project and liaise daily with our off-shore Indian testing function to ensure delivery in line with project expectations. * Be passionate about process improvements, identify where they can be made, and champion their implementation.
