Web App, Front End to SSIS Transformation and Counts
I need a few developers to work on a very nice front end application to a very large database that sells consumer demographic "leads" to marketers. The purchasers of leads are repeat customers who have their own accounts, and as such, they will need their transaction history kept online so they do not purchase the same leads again (or have the option of getting updated data for leads previously purchased). The purchasers will also have the option to upload a file or files of leads they have from other sources in order to exclude the same into (by phone or address, for instance). The application will step the user through the many layers of attributes based on demographic and other consumer data that has been collected. Along the way, the customer is setting values or ranges of values that will be included in the purchase. As this is done, it's necessary to provide counts of the records of various attributes, such as xx records total, yy records of attribute A, and zz records of attribute B, etc. The most important driving factors of this project are: 1. Ease of use, via a simply elegant UI that enables the user to click to any number of attributes (perhaps a tabbed interface?), including the ability to go back and forth among the different input screens or tabs -- refining the selected criteria and viewing the record counts by attribute. 2. Performance, MSSQL 2008 R2 will be used. All SQL needs to be well thought out so that the needs of normalization and de-normalization are balanced according to the business needs. This will require good architecture, and also well written Stored Procedures (and maybe some SQL Views). 3. On Going Manageability of Data: the data will be refreshed by a third party vendor, and there needs to be a means of managing the updates, especially as it relates to any value-added transformations we do to the data upon importing it and architecting it for the app (such as denormalization). I anticipate creating a team of two individuals. One would work primarily the data layer and one would primarily work the UI. Ideally, either could fill in for the other as needed by the project needs. The data must be MSSQL. The server side technology can be either ColdFusion or ASP.Net. Additionally, we will standardize on modern and clean front-end UI components such as the Twitter Bootstrap UI, jQuery, and possibly Ext JS by Sencha (either separately or as it's included in ColdFusion, if ColdFusion is selected). If you're interested in working on this project, please state your preference of tools and feel free to state your opinion about what you like and why you like it. Negative feedback about the ones you do not want to use is unnecessary, though. Thank you. :-) This work will begin within one week of agreeing on a statement of work and implementation schedule. You will have an opportunity of viewing a video of the existing web app we are abandoning so you can see the application flow. The new site will not deviate from it by very much (we do not own the existing app/code). Thank you for your interest. I look forward to hearing from you and exploring the possibility of working together.. Desired Skills: SQL Server, .NET, ColdFusion, Ext JS, SSIS Keywords: Software Application, SQL, Ext, SSIS, ColdFusion, .NET, Server, JS
