Lab Technicians and Food & Beverage Scientists – Westchester NY   Company stock is up and we are looking to hire! This is one of the few Fortune 100 companies doing well in these economic times.   Candidates with any combination and experience level with the following will be considered:   -           Ordering of chemicals and supplies -           Sample receipt -           Small equipment maintenance and calibration (balance weight checks, spectrophotometer checks) -           Assist in routine “sweeps” of the lab to ensure compliance with safety regulations. -           Data entry and MS Office Suite Excel Word PowerPoint -           Analytical Experience(Any science/engineering lab bkgd will be considered.) -           STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL -           Innovation, cost reductions, and/or brand maintenance of food and beverage consumables -           Develop project timelines and deliver on key project milestones -           Plan, coordinate, and execute product development via bench top and pilot plant work. -           Preparing and processing beverage samples, overseeing shelf life testing, conducting bench top tastings, scheduling and producing products for sensory panels and consumer tests, interpreting data and making recommendations, as well as maintaining detailed records in laboratory notebook. -           Entering ingredient specifications and formulas into corporate documentation software. -           Resolve technical issues and challenges; proactively trouble-shoot . -           Lab and product quality assurance and compliance -           Bachelors degree in Food Science huge plus. Will consider other life science degrees. -           Good interpersonal/communication skills, both oral and written. -           Ability to work alone or in groups. Self-motivated/self-starter with the ability to handle multiple project assignments in a fast-paced environment is required -           Can stand for long periods of time and willing to occasionally lift heavy items (such as a 50 lb bag).
