Job Summary Seeking IT resource that is technically proficient in Java programming methodologies to participate in the design and implementation of customized client solutions. Java Applications Developer 2-4 years’ experience doing Java Configuration and Application Development. Utilizing Java to extend 3rd party SW using Applets (connecting to other systems) Java is also used for Messaging. Essential Functions Responsible for coding as defined by the project deadlines. Responsible for functional analysis and participation in team meetings to develop global solution designs. Participate in client meetings and be proactive in helping define opportunities and design state of the art solutions. Requirements Competencies, Knowledge, Skills Abilities and other Characteristics Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of programming principles, methodologies, tools, and techniques. An Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field. Analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs Oral and written communications skills and to work effectively with team members, support personnel, and clients Interpersonal skills to interact with team members The desire and the ability to learn new things Ability to work as part of team and independently Adhere to all SEI/CMM and System Design Life Cycle processes and procedures as required
