Differential equation mathematical model with Matlab programming
Job Description I need people who can make mathematical model of the system, including differential equations. it needs to have the following task done: 2) Graph(s) showing the existing behaviour. 3) Graphs showing the predicted behaviour with various different coefficients in the equations. 4) An explanation of the model and the results. This explanation can use an analogy. An example of an analogy would be a description of a mechanical system with masses and springs. 5) A clear recommendation for improving the behaviour of the system. 6) The MATLAB or other commands used (in an appendix to the report The report should be at least 3000 words. The scenario is given below: A radio broadcasting station has its aerial at the top of a tower that is 200 metres high. The power for the transmitter is supplied from a building at the bottom of the tower. In the building, there is a power supply unit which converts the alternating current of the mains supply to direct current at 120 V, and there is a power supply cable that runs to the transmitting unit at the top of the tower. There have been some problems with the transmitter and its attached control equipment. Investigation found that the output from the power supply is not a steady 120 V. There is an additional component of 50 Hz alternating voltage which causes the output to vary from 115 to 125 volts. To reduce the effect of this, a capacitor has been connected in parallel with the transmitter unit (in other words, it is connected between the two wires of the power supply cable at the top of the tower). But now there is a surge of voltage when the power supply is switched on. This is believed to occur because the supply cable has both inductance and resistance. Arrangements have been made to measure the voltages at the top of the tower, and the results will be available before you can complete the model. It has been suggested that a different capacitor should be used. It is expensive to make changes to the equipment at the top of the tower, so your task is to model the system, and to recommend a suitable value for the capacitor. To simplify the installation, only an “E6 preferred value” should be used.
