WET BIOLOGICS is an research advisory firm focused on the convergence of biotechnology and medical devices. Our first product is a research-based newsletter. The logo will first be used on a Wordpress-powered web site and in Twitter. We work on the leading edge of the biological sciences but have traditional values. We like classic design. Our favorite font is Helvetica Neue and we like the look and feel of Wired Magazine. We would be open to a pictoral or abstract mark. Job description: We need a logo that for our web site, for use on Twitter. Eventually, we will use the logo on our business cards and letterhead. Logo type: Wordmark Color preferences: Blue, Red, Orange, Silver Style preferences: Modern, Classic, Cutting Edge, High Tech Additional comments: Biologics has a dual meaning: On the one hand, it means a medicinal product (vaccine, blood, blood component, gene therapy, etc.) that is used to treat a disease; on the other, it refers to compounds created using biologic (or living) processes. Our audience consists mostly of senior executive males in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device industries, along with investment professionals (private equity and venture capital). In other words, they are conservative but you don't have to be. Words that describe us include: masculine, young, luxury, intelligent, modern, serious, complex, subtle. Given that we are a startup, it is probably better to stick to a simple color palette - no more than 2 colors. We know that it doesn't make a difference on the web, but there will be, by necessity, a printed component to this business. Thanks for reading and best of luck.
