SharePoint 2010 Excel Services Application Design and Development
Job Description Design and develop a SharePoint 2010 application that manages and manipulates excel spreadsheets in a SharePoint Excel Web Part. The overall objective of this project is to convert an existing client Excel VBA application to a SharePoint 2010 Excel Services (web-based) application. Some features will be converted from existing Excel VBA code. Users will interact with the Excel Web Access Web Part using forms (perhaps InfoPath, SharePoint Server ribbon, or dialog boxes). Will require extensive ECMAScript (JavaScript ) programming and strong knowledge of the SharePoint Client Object Model (JSOM). Solution may require developing managed-code Excel Services user-defined functions (UDFs). Solution will interact with some remote WCF web services. Solution will create Microsoft Word reports, perhaps using SharePoint Word Automation Services combined with Open XML SDK. Requires a SharePoint 2010 Development Environment in Visual Studio. Project will have 3 phases - Basic solution technical design/architecture (and analyze feasibility of the solution) - Proof-of-concept (on your server or mine) - Development and testing Skills Required: SharePoint 2010 Excel Services object model, ECMAScript/JavaScript, c# or VB, Excel VBA, WCF web services, xml manipulation, ASP.net, some InfoPath, perhaps SharePoint Word Automation Services or Open XML SDK Keywords: Web Programming, wcf, javascript, sharepoint, asp.net, vba, service, excel, xml, web, microsoft
