Wordpress plugin for transfering member information from WP site to a remote site (ours) We operate a financial services site and need to share information with an affiliate who operates a site running Wordpress. Specifically we would like user authentication and information to be transfered from the Wordpress site to our site simply by clicking on a link or button on the WP site. User must be a paid member of the Wordpress site - this is already being handled by S2/Paypal and would just need to be validated by the module. The following is a suggestion of how we feel this could be accomplished: (Naming - Site 1 is the WP site we're accessing data from, and Site 2 is the PHP/LAMP site we're transfering to.) Step 1) Paid user on Site 1 clicks on the "Get our service" link or button - this click event triggers the module. Step 2) Module validates that the user is a paid member by checking WP member role Step 3) If paid, then perform a cURL POST request to a URI on Site 2. Step 4) cURL POST contains WP member information (name, email, etc..) as well as a user and password to authenticate it to Site 2 Step 5) Site 2 authenticates request from Site 1 and if authenticated, stores data in db and returns a Unique 32bit ID hash as JSON or XML value Step 6) Site 1 redirects the user to Site 2 with the ID hash in the QueryString Step 7) Site 2 performs the appropriate authentication based on the ID hash - for security the hash is then removed from db on Site 2 so future requests with the same id would not authenticate the user again. We are open to suggestions about the above process, but it seems like a fairly simple project. We are just looking for the WP plugin - we have already done PHP coding on Site 2.
