Design - Cover design for book called "Looking Up: A Memoir of Sisters, Survivors and Skokie"
I'd like a new book cover designed. I originally used a photo of a blue sky with fluffy white clouds on it, taken by myself. I do love this image, especially since it reflects the title of "Looking Up," but my cover looks unprofessionally designed. It was designed using Cover Creator on CreateSpace. The book has a few themes that could be used - from the Looking Up theme, the blue sky with fluffy clouds, forest images to reflect my mother's experiences living in the forest running from the Nazis, some Siberian-type images to reflect my father's experience during the war, the suburban boxy houses of Skokie or the seven sisters in my family. Images of tall stands of trees are pretty compelling, though I have none that are not copyrighted. More information on my book can be viewed at Amazon.com. The book ends with us driving away from Skokie on my parents' continuous run from everything that ties them to Judaism, just as they had run from their villages and from Eastern Europe. I was 13 at that time, sitting in the back of our Town and Country Station Wagon, watching as Skokie disappeared behind us. Keywords: Print & packaging design
