Job Description Hello, I am looking for a floorplan design website created that will allow me to drag and drop custom components to build shed designs. Ideally, the customer design should build a quote based on the components they choose and a view of the elevations and layout would be available for them. If they’re happy with the design and price they can place an order and we will accept payment via PayPal/Credit Card etc. Upon payment confirmation, the Bill of Materials will be sent to our manufacturer along with a purchase order based on the customer’s order. The purchase order will have our purchase price on it and not the customer quoted price. An invoice would be generated and sent to customer’s email upon order confirmation. Customer should be able to print output of layout and elevation. Example outputs attached. All data must write to a CRM to manage customer orders etc (Drupal/Joomla?). It would be good if customers could select colours of the components they choose also. Design in 2d required and rendering in 3d required. Wall colours will be "textured colours" (assets available) rather than hexadecimal colours. To understand the aim of this application and help you decide if this is a project you can complete, I am building a Shed company that will sell design services to other builders. I have attached a (basic) workflow diagram to show how users will move around the site, and it is important to understand that "customers" are the buidlers who will use this application and "users" are the people who use the builders instance of this app. Ultimately, the design board and User Interface panels will all be available to my "customers" to design their sheds and to publish them for use by their "users". The users will then have some ability to edit the design using the same interface but with fewer panels available. There will be an admin panel which resembles the user interface and will allow for assets to be added/changed/removed. "Customer" panels include: - Information Panel: Product information - Assets Panel (editable): A range of pre-defined assets that can dragged and dropped onto building frames to design sheds. Assets information can be edited. - Customer Panel: A list of customers that have saved designs, placed orders or made enquiries - My Account Panel: Customer information and contact details (data will be printed on design packages and will be used to email user information etc) - Notification Panel: New activities (orders/enquiries etc) will highlight notification icon to prompt customer review (like oDesk) - Supplier Panel: A list of suppliers available for customers to enter product details of for design assets "User" panels include: - Information Panel: Product information - Assets Panel: A range of pre-defined assets that can dragged and dropped onto building frames to design sheds. - Share Panel: Allows user to email or post to Facebook or Twitter, a URL to the saved design. Also, to allow "Users" and "Customers" to select the colours and materials for the sheds, when they click on a wall or door etc, an option box allows them to select available colours, materials, size options etc. When customer saves, enquires or orders a design, a design package should be collated including an invoice (based on product specificatins chosen and prices applied in product details), 3D rendering, 2D plans and 2D elevations drawings. All of this is accessed via a landing/home page which offers "users" a chance to 1) login/create an account; 2) start with a blank plan; use a template designed by "customers"; or view a tutorial/get user instructions. A lot of this functionality exists in the application at floorplanner.com and this should be used for reference and to follow design cues from http://pl.an/gable. Once the project is completed and is deployed for my existing customer/s I would consider keeping the services of the successful applicant to provide continuous improvements.
