Children's Book Illustrator Needed-Draw me a Monkey!
I am looking for an experienced, talented and creative children's book illustrator. Illustrator must have previous experience drawing animal scenes for children's books. The story is in a jungle with monkeys. The illustrations are for a short children's story for ages 4-7. Illustrator must be able to interpret and be able to reflect the scenes and characters and the moral of the story in their artwork. I will provide guidance and a detailed pagination about what I have in mind for each scene but I need someone who can make suggestions and come up with creative ideas in order to capture the elements of the story and make them real in colors and shapes. If interested in working on this project please apply with a single sample color illustration of a monkey; style and creativity are critical for this project. Hint: Facial features and expressions of the monkey are very important for me as children at this age group may not be reading yet they look for emotional cues on the faces of the characters. I am looking to work with a professional who is willing to communicate frequently and candidly and be open to revise their drawings if needed. I also need this person to meet the project deadlines. I am looking to start this project in about two-three weeks, as the story is now being edited.
