We are a web dev firm in NYC and have been fortunate enough to have more projects than we can handle at the moment. We work with a lot of folks who have static sites which we convert to Wordpress. I would be interested in outsourcing 5 to 10 templated sites a week. We wouldn't be asking for any customization so these projects would be quite straightforward. We have a few teed-up at the moment so we could start right away. Could you provide an estimate for the following project specs keeping in mind that these are low-margin sites for us and therefore cost sensitive? 1) Download copy of website and relevant files 2) Convert common files into WordPress (Header, Footer, Sidebar) 1. Find a way to handle tooltips on menu items (likely custom fields) 2. Test integration, appearance and functionality of common files 3) Convert homepage into WordPress 1. Add Custom Fields for relevant areas on homepage 2. Test integration, appearance, functionality of homepage 4) Convert page template with left and right sidebar into WordPress 1. Configure the common right side bar 2. Add functionality for custom left sidebar/menu (possibly a plug-in for automatic creation based on sub-pages) 5) Convert template with only left sidebar (based on template from 4) 6) Convert template with two content columns (based on template from 4) 7) Test integration, appearance, functionality of inner content pages 8) Add functionality for jQuery panel and jQuery accordions (from various pages) 1. If appropriate, it may be easier to just include items along side normal content, requiring little to no extra work (will need to test and see) 9) Convert all forms into WordPress using plugin to manage them 10) Validation & Testing 1. W3C Validation 2. Cross-browser testing 11) Move website to live server 1. Install Wordpress 2. Move theme files, plugins, and database 3.
