Job Description We need an email newsletter engine installed (not developed from scratch!) that will allow us to send monthly email newsletters to our 2000 contacts, segmented into various lists. It should be based on an existing, free / opensource engine, like Tellmatic, hosted on our existing server, and Gmail's SMTP. We're open to any suggestions that fit in these criteria. Features it needs to support: - it should handle our 2000 contacts with monthly 1-2 emails each - it needs to use our own email address (own domain) - Easy way to import from CSV - various email lists (groups) - built-in editor - track bounces / delivery status - relay through Gmail SMTP - send in batches, at a preset rate (to avoid overloading Gmail's SMTP) - support international (accented) characters (Hungarian, Serbian, etc) in the recipient's name, subject line and message body text. What we have: - Server with root login and PHP/Mysql installed - Own domain with the possibility to manage DNS - Google Apps account linked to our domain - Person who understands all of the above and can assist you with any questions Most importantly the solution should: - Be a robust system - Send clean, standard-complaint emails - Avoid emails landing in spam - this is the most important - Be easy to use - Display international characters correctly - Be free of any license / hosting / support fees - Be practically maintenance-free What we expect as a result: - An installed and fully tested and working system ready to use - Tests carried out using a test shot to 5 test recipients from various email providers (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc), demonstrating that: a) the emails don't land in spam b) the emails display international accented characters correctly c) the emails display their content correctly In your cover letter, please list your references about completed projects in this field (email newsletter engine installation).
