As part of a canvas drawing web application, I generate strokes. A stroke is an array of points (a X and Y coordinate). I currently draw a stroke on screen using quadratic function (see the details) I'd like someone to implement a function that accepts a tolerance parameter that simplifies the stroke by reducing points (but maintains line fidelity specified by a parameter). paper.js (http://paperjs.org/tutorials/paths/smoothing-simplifying-flattening/) has exactly the function i'm looking for - path.simplify(). An implmentation of this would be ideal.
