Job Requirements: Cambio.com is looking for the ultimate television and movie junkie and experienced entertainment writer to join our team as an East coast news editor. If you're an early bird who can't wait to find out what the breaking news stories of the day are, you may be the person we're looking for. Responsibilities: - Complete daily assignments made by Cambio's managing editor and generate timely story ideas for an audience targeted at teens (13-19 years old). - Research, write and publish 4 original celebrity and entertainment industry news stories per day (300-400 words in length) for Cambio.com between the hours of 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Eastern. - Need to be able to exercise sound news judgment to be able to determine breaking news for the day if the West coast editor is unavailable. - Upload and format stories in Cambio's content management system - Select and edit images to accompany stories using Cambio's photo database - Source photo galleries, videos or create polls to accompany news stories following Cambio's styleguide - Occasionally interview celebrities via phone or email, transcribe and/or post as Q&A articles Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in entertainment-related writing/reporting/blogging. - Ability to complete work early in the morning and turn around quality copy on a tight deadline. - Content management experience (CMS) such as Movable Type, Wordpress or Tumblr - Access to photo editing tool such as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements - HTML and Photoshop skills strongly preferred - Knowledge of teen entertainment industry a plus Keywords: Media, Editorial, Online, Entertainment, Internet
