Job Requirements: Cambio.com is looking for an experienced blogger to join their editorial team as a weekend news writer. If you spend your Saturdays and Sundays surfing the web, reading blogs, checking your Facebook news feed and celeb-searching on Twitter, you may be the person we're looking for. Responsibilities: - Complete weekend assignments made by Cambio's managing editor and generate timely story ideas for an audience targeted at teens (13-19 years old). - Research, write and publish 10 original news stories 300-400 words in length to be posted over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) for Cambio.com, including celebrity news stories, entertainment industry news stories, TV and movie previews and reviews, etc. - Upload and format stories in Cambio's content management system - Select and edit images to accompany stories using Cambio's photo database - Source photo galleries, videos or create polls to accompany news stories following Cambio's styleguide Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in entertainment-related writing/reporting/blogging. - Ability to work weekends - Content management experience (CMS) such as Movable Type, Wordpress or Tumblr - Access to photo editing tool such as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements - HTML and Photoshop skills strongly preferred - Knowledge of teen entertainment industry a plus Keywords: Media, editorial, Online, Entertainment, Internet
