We are looking for an Independent Contractor for the Corpus Christi, TX geographic area. Position Description Summary: This position requires extensive local and/or intercity travel to complete delivery and patient set-up of durable medical equipment, in hospital, clinic or homes. Instructs patients and/or the patient’s family on the use of the equipment and physician guidelines, picks up the equipment when the patient has completed the therapy process, cleans, disinfects, and maintains the equipment, and ensures adherence to healthcare accreditation requirements. Obtains patient demographic and insurance information for billing and accurately completes all paperwork and other applicable forms. Requirements Strong interpersonal skills Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) Organization, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and plan Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds Inter-city travel will be required. Must have reliable transportation Ability to work independently Ability to work overtime with little or no notice - available to work weekends when required High School or GED required.
