Bilingual Japanese Associate
Job Summary There are multiple openings for different levels of experience and skill. Use your bilingual and project coordination skills to liaison with management and departments by bridging communication between Japan and English business entities. Responsibilities may include partnering with the Japan/USA offices to ensure timely and accurate communication of information between offices, providing insight into Japan/USA strategies and communicating it to the larger organization. This role may be involved in many different high profile aspects of the business such as marketing, product management and production. The positions require excellent communication and project coordination skills and the ability to effectively communicate in both business Japanese and English. Primary Responsibilities Liaison with both domestic and international management teams and with the parent company in Japan. Provide translation of documents, e-mails and presentations in both Japanese and English to ensure business strategies are understood between offices and languages. Maintain and promote excellent client relations by managing proactive, prompt and accurate communication. Lead and execute projects and initiatives throughout the organization. Partner with departmental leaders to collect data and analyze key performance indicators and make recommendations for improvements. Problem-solve diverse business issues that arise in the day-to-day operations of an international organization. Qualifications Bilingual with excellent writing, speaking and presenting skills in both Japanese and English. 3-5 years demonstrated business related experience in multinational corporations, including Japan and USA. Demonstrated working knowledge of conservative Japanese culture and customs in the workplace. Team and service oriented; must enjoy supporting senior executives while being part of and contributing to a broader team. Excellent project management skills with proven ability to drive results; action oriented and strong problem solver. As an executive representative, carry out responsibilities in a friendly and engaging manner. Strong organizational skills with handling multiple schedules, activities, documents and advanced activity planning. Strong demonstrated leadership, presentation and communication skills required. Ability to understand, interpret, translate and communicate company business plans, strategy and objectives to Japanese officials at parent company. Ability to present results of reporting and analysis to management, both in written and verbal English and Japanese. Work Environment May include 15% travel (domestic and international).
