Google Analytics Expert for .NET project where ecomm trans not working
I am experiencing problems in sending the Google analytics ecommerce transaction parameters from our receipt page to Google Analytics. Our client is using a .NET based application. When the user fills out the form, the application somehow posts the form data to the receipt page, populates the GA ecomm fields by position. I have attached the rendered resulting code on the receipt page. you can see the fields for the ecommerce transaction and item are populated and the transaction ID is there as well. 1. When i compare that rendered page code to what is on the GA docs here: /apis/analytics/docs/tracking/gaTrackingEcommerce.html, i see absolutely no difference but i guess i must be missing something? 2. When i watch the http headers while that receipt page loads, i dont see the relevent ecommerce transaction variables being passed. In other words, i dont see any of those variables like: utmid, utmtto, utmtst, etc... 3. Another weird change is on February 4th, after the developer 'removed the master page and placed all the code in one page...', that particular receipt page no longer shows page views. Is that related to the problem? When i view the code for that page, i notice that the script is within the body of the page. Does that matter? 4. If you look at the GA script, since we go from to secure.setfinancial.com, we are using the cross domain version, that has the extra line ( _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', 'setfinancial.com']);. Thats not the problem is it? Any help you could provide would be appreciated. we have been struggling with this way too long and need a resolution asap. thanks in advance!
