The role of the Project Manager is to manage Corporate initiatives with TSS impact and/or Line of Business (TS, WSS or TSS) specific projects to improve existing procedures/processes and to streamline efficiencies within the TSS Controller group. This includes defining and documenting all the policies and processes of the project lifecycle in order to deliver these projects according to plan and within budget. The Project Manager will also be responsible to understand the product and/or application/system content in order to work efficiently and effectively with the business. Primary Responsibilities: Direct and manage the projects from inception through implementation Develop best practice, techniques for project planning, management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication and performance metrics Define the scope, goals and deliverables of the project to align to overall business goals Effectively engage project team and Senior Management, where appropriate Define project success criteria and report status throughout project lifecycle Effectively communicate and manage project expectations to program managers, sponsors, team members and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion Develop and present deliverables (business requirements, design, etc.) to project team, business partners and Senior Management Liaise extensively with business users and technology partners Understand the business processes in order to improve the current process Identify opportunities for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability and create logical and innovative solutions to complex problems Contribute to proposals for modified or replacement systems Ensure engagement from all required business and finance areas for subject matter expertise Identify resource gaps and escalate to program manager Project coordination including facilitate conversations/projects Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 5+ years experience with project management experience, experience in financial services preferred, including leading projects 8 - 10+ years business analytical experience ability to synthesize data and consolidate, as appropriate Strong managerial skills Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, etc. Competent and proficient understanding of Business intelligence tool suites, such as Business Objects, Essbase, etc. Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks Ability to manage multiple, virtual, global workstreams Able to communicate with all staff levels within and outside of own area Proactive independent and self-managing Team player Detail-oriented and precise Results-driven Must be able to manage activities against the project plan Working knowledge of financial statements/accounting (nice to have) Deliverables/Milestones: Adhere to project lifecycle deliverable guidelines Establish project timelines and milestones using Microsoft Project Effectively manage project teams' time and allocate resources to ensure deliverables are completed Track and monitor all project milestones and deliverables Complete required status reporting to communicate project rating, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas/mitigate project risk Assess status reports, change requests, and requirements documentation to ensure smooth project progression Conduct project -Lessons Learned- and create recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
