Testing Coordinator Software Testing -OR- Development Bug Tracking System (VSTF/VSTS) Write SQL Queries/DB Design Knowledge User Documentation Volt currently has a position open for a Testing Coordinator who will be needed to help our Software Client located in Redmond, WA. Job Responsibilities: Learn and understand how various tools work from a technical and business perspective Identify ways to robustly ensure new features are tested using actual business processes Create appropriate guidance for Users to follow during testing Engage technical resources such as Testers and Developers to accurately understand technical features, requirements and backend design so that the team can target high value changes for testing Review and understand Technical Specifications Write content and create graphics for UAT Script Format UAT Script's content and graphics Run Script review meetings Provide User Support during the UAT execution Provide 1st Level Support of issues logged by Users and identify non-release issues such as localization, domain and account issues Provide support that bridges the gap between 1st and 2nd Level Support with the ability to provide 2nd level support in 6 mos. Escalate issues (bugs, enhancement requests) to the Project Team as appropriate by preparing issues for triage Respond to Users with additional information and final result on issues logged Facilitate participant and technical triage meetings Update relevant SharePoint pages including DS Checklists, Shared Documents, and Issue Log Collaborate with Field IT to create and send official communications to a world-wide audience Create and maintain multiple SharePoint sites Schedule a wide variety of meetings using MS Outlook Facilitate and present during meetings This is an estimated 12+ month Contingent/Temporary position located in Redmond, WA and offered through Volt Technical Resources also located in Redmond, WA. Requirements: Testing Coordinator Qualifications: 1+ year software testing or development experience. 1+ year working with bug tracking system, preferable VSTF/VSTS. Demonstrable ability to write SQL Queries and knowledge of Database Design. Excellent User Documentation experience, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical consumers. Soft Skill Attributes: Strong troubleshooting and research skills - must know when to ask questions and to whom. Technical minded with ability to communicate with development and business customers. Strong sense of process, attention to detail, and exceptional follow-through. Ability to multi-task effectively and work independently. Self-motivated but works well in a cooperative environment. Ability to problem-solve with a logical approach Deals well with change. Bonus Skills: Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle preferred but not required. B.S. in Communications, computer science or related field preferred but not required.
