I am starting a new business! It's called Rawlternative. I bought rawlternative.com from GoDaddy but it's just sitting there for now...waiting for you! I'm a raw food chef and educator in the Portland, Oregon area. I recently graduated from Living Light Culinary Institute. I will be offering free talks, classes for a fee and movie nights for the public. I'll also be offering 1:1 and small-group consultation/coaching services. I'll be targeting clients who are interested in improving their wellness through incorporating more fresh food and showing them how to do it in delicious ways. Since I also have a master's degree in education with an emphasis on behavior, my abilities with getting children to make good choices will set me apart. In addition to classes for adults, I will lead classes for kids in an effort to get them eating more fruits and veggies, so I'm targeting parents of elementary -ages kids as well. Job description: I will need a website that has lush, colorful elements (think fresh fruits and veggies). I don't have a logo yet but hope to have one soon... I will want lots of photos, but don't have any right now....maybe I get busy with a camera or whether maybe you know of free-cheap stock images that would work just while we get started...I would like photos of luscious fruits & veggies as well as prepared dishes I am looking for someone set-up my website, but then I'm hoping to do maintenance myself as much as possible, so I will need to have access and be able to update and modify content....change page titles; maybe even add new pages I will have a blog as part of the website too I will need a way to link to amazon and/or other vendors so that I can be an affiliate I will need a way for people to sign-up for a newsletter/email list and receive auto responses (constant contact) and I will need to be able to access these email addresses and add them to a database. I will need to have a way that people can register and pay for classes using paypal (for now). I will need a calendar or events page that has hyperlinks to registration pages. I need people to be able to "like" rawlternative on facebook, subscribe to RSS, share my blog posts on facebook, etc. I will eventually want to have a bonus e-book for clients-- I would like to have some say in the titles of each page and the description, in an effort to get more hits (SEO) Design Type: New Website Purpose of the Website: Not Sure Number of Pages to be Designed: 6 or more Description of Each Page: home page, events, blog, products, about us/contact us, register for classes, kids, resources/links, bonus e-book Websites with a Similar Style or Look: /....I'm actually not crazy about the style, per se--it's not lush or beautiful; but this website does a great job of organizing content and has many of the elements I will need. it will give you some ideas as far as functionality.... /...i think this is gorgeous /...I like that the pages are offered on home page as images w/text, rather than tabs or links that are off to the side Additional Comments: I guess I don't have a super-clear idea, style-wise... I just know I want rick colors and photos, but still relatively clean and uncluttered. I would like it to be somewhat sophisticated (not cutesy) but also still really friendly and warm....Can you work with that? I hope so! :) Thank you!
