Market Information Analyst
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for a Market Information Analyst based in Blackfriars, London. This is a full time, maternity cover temp role for 8 months, paying circa £29,700pa + London Allowance after 12 working weeks. Background Information: Enterprise Support Information Management identifies and delivers important streams of information that are required to run and grow the business, across all functions. ES IM also provides an information service to Corporate, Category and Functional leadership. Most notably it is responsible for the production of Unilever's monthly and quarterly management information (both financial results and market share performance) for the Unilever Executive, the Category leadership teams and Investor Relations. Moreover, ES IM ensures compliance in terms of information and reporting standards in addition to data quality. The role of Market Information Analyst presents itself as an excellent opportunity to work at the heart of Unilever's global information management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Unilever's retail market research agencies and with ES IM counterparts in the provision of an operational service for the supply of global market information to the business. This will focus on exposure to FMCG data from around the world and the processes of aligning the varied, externally supplied data to Unilever standard methods for categorising and reporting. They will also gain valuable exposure to Unilever's global Categories and external third party suppliers. Key Accountabilities: *Provide operational support to the agencies that maintain the global data for Unilever for best practice and content support *Understand and monitor data quality/validation, impact of data changes on reporting *Validation that ensures ongoing high quality of monthly Global Market Information (GMI) Key Skills/Experience: *Good experience with agency market data and working with databases (e.g. Nielsen Nitro) *Excellent software skills - Excel (Advanced knowledge), Word, etc. *Highly numerate with in-depth reporting, reconciliation and validation experience. *Good communication and influencing skills. *Ability to develop strong working relationships with individuals at all levels. *Good attention to detail and tenacious approach to problem solving
