A large enterprise organisation is currently seeking an experienced Chief Information Officer - CIO for an Interim contract opportunity. The Chief Information Officer - CIO will have shared accountability for the establishment of the new organisation (including the smooth transition of staff and assets). You will be accountable to the CFO for providing technology leadership and strategic direction on Information and Communications Technology related matters. The key accountabilities for the Chief Information Officer - CIO will be: Strategic development and delivery of international programming, in both development and humanitarian contexts Creating an environment of continuous learning where staff are encouraged and supported to grow and develop and are willing to be held accountable for their commitment Development of strategies and implementation of processes to enable the IT function to effectively contribute to emergency response efforts. Developing and maintaining good relations with Members during the transition period and beyond Engaging with members and supporting managers to successfully introduce the new operating model for the necessary change processes. Develop and implement a clear IT governance structure Developing and implementing a global Information and Communications Technology infrastructure and strategy, aligned to our dual mandate and our ambitious strategy Creating and establishing a robust framework of IT policies, practices, standards and systems aligned to business needs and implemented as appropriate The Chief Information officer - CIO will be experienced in: Working in an IT leadership capacity with knowledge and capability across all core IT disciplines e.g. technical operations/software/IT production/emergency communications networks Significant experience of relationship managing a demanding client base Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams Experience of managing the establishment of emergency IT support in response to major crisis requiring quick changes to priorities and rapid action to respond Experience of building personal networks at senior levels, resulting in securing significant new opportunities This is an excellent opportunity for an Interim Chief Information Officer - CIO to work with a dynamic organisation.
