About the Product Development Manager ( Scrum, Product Development, Agile ) role: We have an exceptional opportunity for a Product Development Manager ( Scrum, Product Development, Agile ) to join our Online Applications team. This is a leadership role responsible for managing both the software development and test teams and is central to the success of our online applications. Within this Product Development Manager ( Scrum, Product Development, Agile ) role, you’ll work closely with the commercial team to create and evolve the online application strategy and roadmap, whilst effectively leading and directing your team to achieve key deliverables. As Product Development Manager ( Scrum, Product Development, Agile ) for Online Applications, you’ll take responsibility for the end-to-end process of the product development life cycle, defining project responsibilities for teams and project members. You will ensure detailed business analysis and the highest level of quality is achieved to meet our customers’ needs. Skills and Experience Required for the Product Development Manager ( Scrum, Product Development, Agile ) role: Creating web-based applications at Sage is a tremendous opportunity. We’re looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager who is both strategic in their approach as well as accomplished in their ability to lead, motivate and inspire teams of developers and testers operating in an agile environment. It is essential that you have experience of project managing agile teams. We follow a truly Agile development methodology and proven project management/Scrum experience is essential, yet you’ll be able to demonstrate how this can be managed in a way that allows flair and creative innovation to flourish. You will need a strong understanding of native web technologies and emerging web platforms and be familiar with SOA and ORM approaches. Experience of managing highly available secure applications and mitigating the related risks would be beneficial in this role. The ability to demonstrate success in delivering international projects would be desirable. We are fortunate to have a highly talented team of developers and testers and wish to complement them with an inspirational leader. We need someone who gets a buzz out of seeing their people succeed and understands how to motivate them. You will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for software engineering.
