A major defence contractor is urgently looking for a seasoned Design engineer to design and assist production of equipment for a land based demonstrator and to prove the concept and functionality of the Heavy Replenishment at Sea (HRAS) System. Also following completion of the HRAS trials the site is to be developed into a training facility. You should be used to working in a rigorously controlled documentation environment, be self-motivated, and have the attitude to contribute positively to a coherent team. Essential Skills/Experience:   • Competent user of a recognised CAD package (AutoCAD, ProE, Medusa etc.) for the production of manufacturing drawings. • Experience of creation of equipment assembly arrangements and Engineering Bill of Materials. • Conversant with BS EN 8888 for the production of product definition data • Good mechanical and hydraulic understanding with experience of practical engineering applications within a marine environment. • Competent user in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel etc.) • Mechanical Design Background Location: Newcastle upon Tyne.  Duration: 6 Months.
