A well known media company based near Barbican is looking for German Speaking Finance Assistant / Credit Controller for a 6 Month Maternity Contract offering £20,000 pro rata.  Working closely with the Senior Finance Assistant and reporting to the Management Accountant, this position will have full responsibility for the credit control function for the German, French and other pan-European territories.   Your day to day duties will include:   Full credit control for German, French and pan-Euro territories including query resolution via e-mail and telephone; Provide credit checks for new agencies; Provide detailed aged debtor reporting on a weekly basis with explanations for discussion with EU Financial Controller and Sales leads; Entering and allocation of payments; Printing and posting monthly invoices to agencies; Build relationships with agency contacts to ensure timely responses to external queries; Resolve campaign queries with the Sales and Campaign Management teams; Ad hoc monthly tasks and providing support for the year-end audit.   The ideal candidate will have worked within a Finance team previously and ideally have some credit control experience. It is essential that you can speak and write fluent German and English.
