VB.NET Programmer Analyst 1 year contract Richmond, VA *local candidates strongly preferred **personal interview required, no exceptions Job Description: As a member of a team that builds and integrates interactive Web sites, applications, and services for both internal and public sites, your role is to make it work, which means developing Web applications and testing them on various browsers, enhancing and modifying them as necessary to ensure the best experience for the user. You might also architect websites, design data-driven applications, and find efficient client-server solutions. You must have an in-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to communicate project status, issues, and resolutions. You must be/have: An experienced Web developer, and an expert in using the Microsofts .NET VS2010 technology programming tools and language. Proficient in MS .NET programming language. An understanding of general database concepts. Understanding of the architecture of clients, servers, and Internet systems. Able to write functional and design specifications for Web applications. Able to create and implement Web sites. Able to create and monitor Web applications for clients and servers. Able to design and deliver Web services. Able to code, test, and support database-driven Web applications. Proficient in HTML and XML. Able to understand object-oriented programming. Required skills: Application and page life-cycle management. Security aspects, such as forms authentication and membership and roles. JavaScript, Microsoft Jscript Internet Information Services (IIS 7.0 7.5) Configuration and deployment of Web applications. Consumption and creation of server controls. Troubleshooting and debugging of Web applications. ASP.NET AJAX and client-side scripting. Database, Data access and Data retrieval. Data updates SQL Application implementation by using data services. Web applications' security principles. Solid understanding of the ASP.NET applications event model. Language Integrated Query. Planning and designing user interaction solutions. Extend ASP.NET architecture. Develop the full cycle of software applications.
