Job Description I am a university professor with expertise in health and fitness for older adults and an award-winning fitness professional who has written numerous articles and delivered many presentations on topics related to exercise and aging. I am currently writing a manual (approx. 300-350 pages lots of pictures demonstrating exercise movements and fitness tests) that will be used as the primary coursework for a new certification that will prepare fitness professionals (primary market is U.S. and Canada) to work with older adults. Students will have already completed a basic level certification that has covered the basics of human anatomy and physiology and exercise training principles or have a bachelor's degree in a related field in order to take this certification. I have already developed the outline for the manual and most of the content. However, the content is currently in the form of several articles, Powerpoint presentations, and book chapters that I have created. I need someone to re-purpose all of this content according to the outline that I have developed for the manual, eliminate redundancy while still capturing the unique points that are made in the various sources, and to make it clear where I need to add or expand the content. Since the content is coming from multiple sources part of this job will require keeping up with references for each chapter. I use EndNote to keep references organized and would prefer to continue to do so for this manual but older content typically has a reference list at the bottom of the article that have not been put into an EndNote library. Future work on this project for the writer is possible once this manual is complete. Each chapter from the manual will need to be turned into a PowerPoint presentation that a course instructor can use to teach to material. Additional teaching tools will also need to be created for instructors. If the work on the manual is satisfactory then the writer will be hired for the additional tasks for this project. An advanced level certification is also on the agenda in the near future. While advanced expertise in this area is not required of the writer since I will be providing the content I do need someone who understands the terminology and has previously completed some health or fitness jobs. While the writing is technical in nature it needs to be easily understandable by someone with a high school degree. Keywords: Technical Writing
