Business Intelligence Developer
Everyday Health Inc., the nation's leading online network for consumers who want to manage their health, conditions, and overall well-being, is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer! Everyday Health has grown its portfolio to include more than 25 websites, including well-recognized consumer sites EverydayHealth.com, JillianMichaels.com, SouthBeachDiet.com, WhatToExpect.com,MedPageToday.com, a news site serving healthcare professionals, and our own broadcast television show *Everyday Health* on ABC. In addition, Everyday Health has partnered with YouTube to make original programming. We are looking for a developer with solid Business Intelligence experience using tools such as COGNOS, Cubes, QlikView, Microstrategy, and Hyperion. The ideal candidate will be a good analyst with strong proficiency in database management systems (SQL Server preferred). Responsibilities: Develop attractive and highly interactive business intelligence solutions (Dynamic reports, dashboards, cubes, etc) to service the sales and marketing needs for information Develop rapid prototypes and proofs of concept to help assess strategic opportunities and future BI capabilities Develop crisp documentation, design specifications, training materials, etc. Create and support a highly effective web analytics platform Using latest BI delivery tools build prototypes for business analysis opportunities Provide support to the QA team to ensure data quality; support team that creates ad-hoc and scheduled reporting and analytic requests Job Requirements: 5+ years of software development experience with a specialty in business intelligence tools and data warehousing technology Proficiency in Cognos Report Studio, Framework Modeling, Cubes, administration, best practices, etc. Proficiency with QlikView and/or one or more additional major BI Reporting tools such as Business Objects, Hyperion, SAS and their administration Proficiency with relational database management systems (SQL Server Preferred) and data warehousing. This includes logical modeling, physical database design, data sourcing and data transformation, data loading, data cleansing, and end-user tools Proficiency in SQL programming (stored procedures, functions, complex SQL, performance tuning, etc) Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts, technologies, and best business practices Strong conceptual, analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills. Have a collaborative work style with strong desire to work in dynamic, fast paced environment that requires flexibility and ability to manage multiple priorities Experience with Google Analytics, Omniture is a PLUS! .NET experience is a PLUS!
