Test Coordinator
We have the following 2-3 year contract with NYS DMV. We need a Test Coordinator who is an experienced proifessional in the areas of Quality Asusrance software testing standards and test script development and maintenance using Quality Center and Quick Test Pro. Interviews are IN PERSON in Albany. Project will start in April. Details follow: Scope of Work: The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles requires a one (1) Test Coordinator to assist DMV with test planning, coordination and testing for all of the DMV Systems Modernization Project initiatives. DMV's System Modernization Project involves the updating and testing of DMV's computer mainframe system and related peripherals (the System). Contractor will be required to create test cases, and to develop the traceability matrix. The Contractor will compile the system test plan, based on the DMV business rules, with step-by-step instructions to test each documented use case and non-functional requirement. The Contractor will also prepare test plans and/or check lists as required by DMV for user-acceptance testing, and must conduct all testing using various system platforms including web, terminal emulator, and PowerBuilder. The Test Coordinator may also be required to assist with system changes; enhancements to test scripts required to provide minimal maintenance; and optimizing Quality Center and Quick Test Pro capabilities. All development and design must be done in accordance with DMV standards, procedures and guidelines, which will be provided upon request at contract award. The Contractor must provide DMV with the services of an individual who is an experienced professional in the areas of Quality Assurance software testing standards and test script development and maintenance using Quality Center and Quick Test Pro. All consulting work performed during the term of the Contract will be billed on an hourly basis, and will include the following tasks and responsibilities: Contractor will develop, review and modify all test cases/scripts as necessary, based on the use case scenarios as per the Business Requirements Document and the Functional Design Specifications Document. Functional and Quality Assurance testing. Contractor will perform the following duties in cooperation with DMV: Functional testing of integrated components to confirm that the functionality of the software works as defined by the use-cases. Application testing of the created test cases/scripts, defining expected results and actual results. Quality Assurance testing, using existing DMV tools and the number of iterations of testing required to verify that resulting fixes applied are regression-tested to the satisfaction of DMV. Creation of test scripts, using Visual Basic, VBscript and/or Test Script Language for platforms such as web, Powerbuilder and terminal emulator, using Quality Center and Quick Test Pro. Create, manage and resolve defects, using Quality Center. Contractor may be required to assist DMV personnel with Performance and Capacity testing, as follows: Contractor will cooperate with DMV personnel to define appropriate performance and capacity tests. Contrator will cooperate with DMV to execute the tests manually, using DMV's preferred testing tool. Contrator will cooperate with DMV to review the test results. User-Training Work Sessions. Contractor will cooperate with DMV in the coordination of training sessions for known user groups who will be processing activities in the new System. Contractor will create and complete user checklists and/or testplans associated with training sessions, and, as may be required by DMV, User Guides which describe the use of the System for the users/user groups. TECHNICAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS Bidders must demonstrate in their proposals the following mandatory technical experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Quality Assurance IT Support Lead Minimum of five (5) years of experience analyzing business and functional requirements of a system or systems, with development of a testing approach. Ensuring that business requirements are verifiable as identified, in order to ensure delivery of expected functionality Test planning and strategizing that is designed to include developing comprehensive test plans based upon business requirements. Working with development teams to identify, debug, correct, and retest system bugs and deficiencies, based on the testing results. Minimum of five (5) years of) experience in defect management, using HP Quality Center. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Test Automation/Scripting with HP Products (Quality Center/FT), with various add-ins including web (Internet Explorer), terminal emulator (Jolly Giant QWS3270), and PowerBuilder. Minimum of five (5) years of experience with scripting custom functions in VBScript/TSL/Visual Basic. Minimum of two 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office suite of products including, but not limited to, Access, Excel, Word, InfoPath, and FrontPage. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Project Management. HP certified training in Basic and Advanced Quick Test Professional. 2.3 NON-TECHNICAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS Good communication skills, oral and written. Familiarity with, and basic understanding of, New York State government procedures. TAILWIND IS AN EOE.
