Seeking a self-starter to assist in the support of a database driven promotional merchandising and advertising production system. The incumbent must possess an advanced knowledge of weekly insert production workflows and production applications (i.e. InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop). Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day application and system support of production tools. Assist in troubleshooting production issues and provide immediate resolution. Escalate critical issues and follow issue to resolution. Assist the Help Desk. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college classes preferred. 3 years professional experience in graphic arts and customer service capacity. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and graphic arts applications such as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Understand types of retail ads and their components (base pages, versions, ROP, grand openings, ethnic ads, etc.). Working knowledge of desktop page layout, make alterations and effectively communicate alterations to be performed by production. Familiarity with Mac OS X, Windows and web browsers are required. Understand desktop page proofs and remote proofing systems. Working knowledge of Portable Document Format (PDF) and Computer to Plate CTP) workflows. Strong verbal and written communications skills to effectively and professionally interact with all levels of the organization and clients. Exceptional customer service skills. Give and receive feedback on production and design issues in a constructive and positive manner that results in an improved working environment and product.
