Business Analyst -- Data & Application Migration
Here is a sweet contract position for a Business Analyst - Data and Application Migration! Our client, an international corporation with offices throughout the United States, is seeking a Business Analyst for a team who is to direct the migration of corporate DATA and corporate APPLICATIONS from an existing out-of-state data center to a new data center located in Atlanta. The new data center will be the IT Operations hub for this large corporation. As Business Analyst, your role will be to support the project manager, assess, write, and communicate business requirements, ensure plans and policies are meeting the business requirements, develop and write procedures for newly designed systems, evaluate technical requirements, develop test plans, and work with cross-functional groups. You'll be working on a team developing the migration and implementation plan. A little background.. Our client is an international insurance conglomerate that controls two separate insurance companies here in the U.S.A. - one in Atlanta and the other on the west coast. These two companies are in the process of being merged into a single entity. A PMO organization has been put in place, and the initial phases of the merger are underway. Obviously, the two companies are in the same business vertical (Insurance), with some overlapping product functionality, and other functionality that is unique to each company. Their application and data platforms are being merged into a single processing platform. Some of the existing applications can be simply moved from one data center the new one, with little or no modification. Other applications are in the process of being modified, and still others are being newly developed. The end result of this work will be a fully-functional application platform with all systems running smoothly in the new Data Center. Requirements To qualify for this position, you must have experience with migrating large amounts of data or moving a data center in a Business Analyst role. If you performed this kind of work in the midst of a corporate merger, then you have an inside track on this opportunity. Please note that this assignment calls for excellent communication, leadership, management and interpersonal skills. You will be working closely with various groups from both organizations. Your planning skills must be top-notch. Experience in the insurance industry would be icing on the cake, but it's not required. Please email me your resume and a brief intro. Rest assured your information will be handled quickly and confidentially. My contact information is: Debra Blake email: [Click Here to Email Your Resumé]
