HR Generalist/Recruiter - Temp Contract
This is a contractor, temp to hire position. Under general supervision, provide recruiting and generalist support for the Human Resources Department. Know and apply fundamental knowledge of HR practices to support the organization. Act as a back-up single point of contact for departments providing HR generalist support and consultative services to include: employee relations; recruitment; coaching; performance management; and compensation & benefits liaison. Deliver on assigned HR strategic initiatives. Source and recruit candidates for assigned open requisitions. Run effective targeting/kick-off meetings with hiring managers. Evaluate overall qualifications of candidates and make recommendation to hiring managers with supporting material/information. Post and manage openings online. Administer internal job bids. Administer coordination of new hire paperwork. Administer all applicable hiring processes and applicant tracking. Complete all reporting/disposition requirements associated with the requisition process. Keep current on all MMI policies relating to wage and salaries, employee benefits, and general personnel practices. Perform other duties as required. Requirements Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills as well as very strong organizational skills. Must have demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of employees. Must have strong customer orientation, sense of urgency in getting things done and ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects. Experience 3+ years experience in Human Resources functions, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Education B.S. in Business, Human Resources or related field required.
