We need a Linux systems engineer/architect urgently for a highly security-intensive project using Amazon Web Services. Essentially we are creating an environment running a Drupal-based CRM system behind an authentication/proxy server which will issue SSL keys to individual users, who will use portable, secure USB-based Linux systems to access the environment. The candidate will need to be available for and participate in conference/Skype calls with our team and our client, as needed, and will be creating a written specification. We anticipate that portion to be roughly 15-20 hours of work. As the project is also somewhat budget-sensitive, if the candidate's hourly rate can be supported, we will also consider allotting the remaining 70-80 or so hours to the actual implementation of the project. This is preferable than having to hire another person, of course! We need someone with significant cloud engineering/architecture experience, and preferably someone who's local to the Washington, D.C. metro area. Regardless, due to project requirements, you must have full-time availability for the next week for the first part and mostly full-time availability with some flexibility for the following two to four weeks for the second part.
