This will involve the design, coding, and support for both new and existing applications using the full array of SQL Server tools. Candidates need to be very experienced in the following SQL Server skills: *Transact-SQL *All types of table joins *Aggregate functions *Composite joins between multiple tables *All types of predicates (joins, where, having) *Designing and building stored procedures with parameters *Derived tables Database Design *Normalized design methods *Optimization of structure and indexes for speed *Index design and troubleshooting. Management Skills: Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related discipline. *4 -6 years of experience in Database Analysis, Design, Coding and Testing. *4 years of solid knowledge and extensive experience in T-SQL *Experience in SQL Server 2005/2008 and/or OLAP *Experience in VB.NET is a big Plus *Development skills in stored procedures, triggers, UDF, cubed data, custom DTS packages using Visual Basic, and custom data transfers *Expertise in process performance tuning and optimization ? db design, indexes, distributed views *Advanced understanding of database design - relational integrity, normalization, star schema *Foundation in database administration - space utilization, load balance, process scheduling, security, replication, backups *Solid background of full life-cycle design, implementation, backup, support and integration with front end applications Majors Preferred: Computer Science, Mgmt.
