Test Engineer/Project Manager in Austin Texas
We are looking for a motivated leader to head up a project for our enterprise client. You will be a project liaison with a drive to coordinate communication throughout the global project workgroup layers and solicit information from key contacts to resolve problems before they become issue. We are looking for an experienced leader, with technical experience to allow him/her to get their hands dirty. Requirements: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field degree. X86 PC architecture knowledge and x86 assembly language knowledge desired. Experience with make files and scripting languages, such as Perl, Python, Ruby, or UNIX shell scripting desired. Ability to read and understand programmers register access guides for hardware devices and platform schematics. An understanding of C/C++ programming methods. A basic understanding of digital hardware and hardware/software interfacing Knowledge of PC bus interconnects, such as PCI Express, USB, DDR, or Hyper Transport Experience with various software and hardware debug tools Linux/Windows application, driver and/or kernel development would be a plus Java programming experience a plus Required Project Management / Test Engineering Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Ability to organize and manage priorities Experience in driving test teams and complicated unit or integration test projects Effective written and verbal communication skill - Must be able to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively Good interpersonal skills - works effectively both independently and in a global team environment Comfortable working in an open lab environment with hands on hardware. Experience with software version control systems (e.g., CVS, Subversion, RMS) Ongoing evaluation, development, QA, and sustaining maintenance of the tool framework environment Experience in developing test methodologies for complex systems.
