Job Description INDEPENDENT Expert Magento Developer needed for high volume eccomerce sites. We are running Magento 1.4.1.1 (single install with 2 websites). We have had a lot of customization done and have many modules (including custom modules) installed. You must be VERY proficient in creating modules completely from scratch. Your coding must not alter magento code in any way (use Magento best practices). We require someone who can work quickly (and efficiently) and write PHP code from scratch. You must be VERY experienced in all areas of Magento and PHP coding as well as JavaScript, Ajax, jquery, cross browser compatibility. This project will eventually include upgrading a VERY customized Magento 1.4.1.1 to the latest version. The site does contain core edits by developers we used to have so you must bring this in the proper way as to make future upgrades easier. Candidate must have experience in upgrading Magento in a very customized environment. You must be available to work up to 10 hours a week on a long term basis. You must be easily reached in cases of emergencies. We prefer Skype chat to communicate. Please be very good with English language. We require that work be done by ONE PERSON and not a team. Therefore we prefer you to be independent and not part of a contractor team. It is very important that when we email you a project that you start work on it right away and complete it in a timely manner. You must be able to dedicate 10 hours a week (some weeks we will not need that much) consistently and have a great work ethic. We will not accept excuses as to why you cannot work.
